EEA Online Training for
EPA Lead Renovators Certification.
Effective June, 2010, EEA is EPA accredited to offer the EPA Lead Renovators Certification Training program on-line.
A brief explanation of the EPA Lead Renovators Certification training process follows.
While much of the EPA Renovators Certification Training course can be completed over the internet using Environmental Education Associate's secure website, hands-on training and a final course exam must be complete at an EEA training facility.
The EPA Lead Renovators Certification online training program is a two step process;
Step 1:
Entails completing eight (8) modules and test. Participants must correctly answer a short quiz at the completion of each module to advance to the next module. Once all eight modules are complete, participants must complete another multi-question test with a passing percentage.
The on-line portion of the EPA Lead Renovators training can be completed at the participant's own pace. There is no minimum or maximum time to complete the EPA on-line modules.
Once a participant has passed the EPA online course test, an EEA course completion voucher will be issued specific to the participant. This voucher should be printed and brought to EEA as proof of completion of the EPA on line certification portion of the Lead Renovators training. Each voucher includes a unique Student Number, which the participant must provide when registering for the hands-on portion of the EPA Renovators certification.
After an individual has completed the EEA EPA on line certification course and passed an on line test, they can register and attend the hands-on portion of the training at one of EEA's lead training facilities. Dates and locations for the hands-on training will be available at the completion of the hands-on portion of the lead training and participants will be able to register for the hands-on training at that time.
Step 2
Follows specific timing requirements set forth by EPA. Hands-on training must be 2.5 hours in length.
The final exam is presented at the conclusion of the hands-on training. There is no minimum or maximum time to complete the course final exam."
Even though the EPA Requirements are complicated,
EEA makes it easy to become EPA RRP Certified.
