This course provides occupational health and safety training to technical/field personnel involved in site activities including; initial site characterization, field investigation, and remediation operations. The basic components of the Program are designed to provide workers with training specific to the types of health and safety hazards present at typical work sites. Included are classroom style lectures coupled with significant "hands-on" equipment laboratories, full-dress exercises and site simulations; all of which provide attendees with training pertinent to actual site conditions. The Program was developed to satisfy general international, federal and state/provincial statutory safety provisions and specific hazardous materials training requirements promulgated in US 29CFR 1910.120, "HAZWOPER
Low Exposure Employee

This three day course was designed for personnel with minimal exposure to hazardous substances and/or atmospheres, including staff involved in over-sight or management of sites that contain higher safety risks. This training focuses on hazard recognition and personnel protective equipment for lower concentration hazards than those covered in the associated 40-Hour Training Course. Instruction combines classroom sessions with extensive demonstration and hands-on exercises. This course satisfies general Canadian Federal/Provincial and specific U.S. (per 29 CFR 1910.120, 'HAZWOPER', Low/No Exposure Employee) health and safety training requirements.
Environmental Sampling

The components of the Sampling Course were developed to satisfy standards established by Environment Canada, US EPA and other international organizations. It was designed for staff performing compliance, enforcement, assessment and inspection-related sampling activities. The training provides personnel with proper sampling skills for a variety of media, i.e. solid, liquid or gas phase. Completion results in increased attendee understanding of: safe techniques; laboratory requirements; sampling protocol; location selection; and, other related topics. The training concentrates on the presentation of demonstrated 'best available technologies' related to field techniques, laboratory expectations, standard operating procedures as defined within published standards/regulations.
Annual Health & Safety Refresher
