Environmental Education Associates (EEA) is a full service environmental training provider offering the following certifications;

Asbestos Abatement, accredited though the New York Health Department (NYSDOH) Asbestos Safety Training Program, which is an US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved accreditation agency.

Lead Hazard Control, accredited through the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Section 402 for the States of Alaska, Florida, Idaho, New York, New Mexico and South Carolina as well as Tribal Lands in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regions 2 & 10.

EEA also presents a complete schedule of Lead Safe Work Practices training, to meet standards set forth by US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the Lead Safe Housing Rule.

In early 2008, USEPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, beginning in April 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. EEA intends to obtain accreditation to provide the USEPA Lead Renovation, Remodeling and Painting Program rule and plans to offer the one day Lead Renovators Course and the half day Lead Renovators Refresher Course. EEA should begin making these course available in Fall 2009. For additional information visit http://www.epa.gov/lead.

Mold Remediation, accredited by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

EEA offers a complete schedule of OSHA Safety and Hazardous Materials training courses. We maintain the necessary credentials to present the US Occupational Safety and Health administration (OSHA) 10 hour and 30 hour Construction Safety courses, the OSHA 40 General Site Worker I (HazMat) and OSHA Hazmat Supervisor training.
